"Sample Singapore's efficient modernity before flying over to Malaysia with this three-centre itinerary."
Explore Singapore's varied neighbourhoods each with its own flavour before visiting the equally diverse Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, then indulge yourself in the archipelago of Langkawi.
Singapore boasts a wealth of shopping options, bars and restaurants, making it the ideal place to linger over a cocktail in a swanky rooftop establishment. There are plenty of green spaces too, including the city's world-famous zoo. Jet off from Singapore to vibrant Kuala Lumpur, where a wide range of cultures and religions coexist in harmony. The street food scene here is a delight, and days could be spent eating your way around ground level. Singapore's climate is warm and humid all year round, and so there is no 'best' time to visit the city. Temperatures are generally always high, averaging around 24°C in the mornings and evenings and around 31°C in the daytime. The temperature dips, but only slightly, between November and January when the monsoon season arrives. Kuala Lumpur has an equatorial climate defined by hot year round temperatures and abundant rainfall. The Titiwangsa Mountains in the west and the mountainous Indonesian island of Sumatra to the east offer protection to the city and influence its climate. The southwest monsoon rain hits KL between September and April but rainfall is not too high throughout the season. The best time to visit KL is between June and August, when the weather is driest. Langkawi has quite a stable climate for an island in Malaysia. It is shielded from major winds and storms by the mainland on one side and Sumatra on the other. Consequently Langkawi can be visited all year round, as weather is never too drastic. The best time to visit is between April and August, when there is a good balance of sunshine and light rainfall.
