Weather

Koh Yao's tropical climate grants it year round high temperatures and little rainfall. The odd downpour can be expected during the months of May to July and again between September and October, as monsoon winds refresh the island with evening gusts that see the palm trees swaying. The island doesn't receive much wind or rainfall due to its location between Phuket and the Malay peninsular which protect the island on both sides. Swimming is safe all year round due to the calm waters.
