Food is a serious matter in Phu Quoc. Like most of Vietnam, it specialises in seafood and fresh wholesome noodle broths. The hotel’s terrace restaurant is no exception, offering everything from an immense breakfast buffet with every flavour of bread you could imagine through to the á la carte dinner of grilled lobster and king prawns. Make sure to visit Il Ristorante, the resort's beachfront restaurant, which specialises in Mediterranean cuisine along with Asian favourites and fresh seafood.
Phu Quoc receives more rainfall than other parts of southern Vietnam, and its waters are less blue and choppy during the wet season of April through November. As a developing island, many of the roads are not fully built so exploring other beaches can get very muddy during the wet season so bear this in mind when planning your trip. The weather is at its best between December and March, and this is when most visitors arrive.
